Tips and Tricks from Design vets

Today I took part in a weekly Q&A that left me heartened. Aimed as a platform for newbies to source skill set through resources, advice evolved to excitement and new partnerships were formed.

Seasoned professionals gave a leg up and opened themselves up to barter, teaching the crucial principle of reciprocity: if you want to approach someone (in any silo of life) offer them value. Everyone has value to offer, if you think you have no value to offer someone you perceive as expert you are wrong. You are wrong. Offer anything you know how to do, if we can't use it, we appreciate the approach and will hit you up first when an opportunity opens up.

All of the above was lovely to be a part of, what heartened me most was the learnings the 'Vets' took from the newbies; enthusiasm was contagious, curiosity was hailed, leaps of faith ignited, and strength in numbers at the height of a universally challenging fiscal moment in time for creators was formed. It's all about community, community is the path to growth of endangered socioeconomic trust.
